EurA AG has been established in Ellwangen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) in 1999. The company currently employs more than 70 persons on 6 locations.

As an innovation service provider, EurA advises more than 800 mainly medium-sized companies in Germany, covering all industrial sectors. From the beginning, one emphasis lay on the energy sector as one of the most innovative, challenging, and interesting sectors.

EurA accompanies its customers along every stage of the innovation process, providing services ideally tailored to the individual needs of the respective partner. The portfolio ranges from the development of a general company or innovation strategy based on a thorough business plan, over the determination of the financial aspects, the initiation and mediation of promising partnerships, the implementation of innovative products, technologies and services, up to the development of appropriate commercialisation strategies and the market introduction of those innovations.

The company's main business is subdivided in:

• Innovation consulting: The first sector comprises the consulting of national and international companies in R&D-projects in order to develop new products and processes, the creation and coordination of technology networks and clusters, the development of business models, and the drafting of investment plans. EurA is well experienced in all German as well as in various European research and development programmes. Within the innovation consulting, EurA is on the one hand mainly responsible for the coordination and technical as well as financial administration of countless R&D-projects, and is on the other hand also directly participating in various projects.
• Network management: In addition to the innovation consulting, EurA is also market leader in initiating and coordinating of innovation networks which aim at technical developments in a broad variety of industries. On behalf of the Federal Government, EurA currently takes care of more than such networks, with about 15 to 20 industrial and research partners each. Amongst these are various networks in the energy sector: smart grids, wind energy, solar power, thermal power, energy efficient datacentre, liquid organic hydrogen carriers, process heat, biomass, future energy storage, and e-mobility.
• Industrial and technology management consulting: Besides from R&D related issues, EurA also offers their customers a broad range of services in the areas controlling, financing (also capital resources and external finances), purchase, and sale of companies and investments. Almost all staff members have an academic education and extensive industrial experience in their subject, so that they can provide the customers comprehensive and profound consulting.

Main tasks within Sintbat:

Within the project Sintbat, EurA is mainly responsible for the project administration (assistance of the Coordinator VMB), the implementation of a life cycle assessment for the significantly improved lithium-ion cells and the development of an appropriate exploitation and replication strategy for the project.
